I am currently working on two projects...the "Sinister Machine" and the "Rover".
The Sinister Machine is a 6 wheeled tank bodied robot, and the Rover is a flat topped, "Mars Rover"
inspired design. The Sinister Machine is on hold while I put all of my energy into completeing
the Rover. All that remains on the Rover to complete is the steering interface and the ultrasonic
sensors.
Sinister Machine Details:
6 wheel drive, skid steering
MDF construction with fiberglass re-enforcement
ATMEL Mega 168 microprocessor
ultrasonic sensors for object avoidance
Rover details:
2 wheel drive, proportional steering
Powerwheels chassis
MDF platform
Arduino Decimila processor
12V trolling motor battery for motors and lights
6V gel cell for processor and GPS
GPS module from an OnStar system
External mast mounted powered GPS antenna
Silver Bomber relays for motor direction and on/off
ultrasonic sensors for object avoidance
